Victor produces various types of satin tapes for the textiles and fashion industries. The company, which is based in Piove di Sacco in the province of Padua, started life in 1945 when the entrepreneur Vittorio Rossi Lucian established a family run workshop supplying local tailors and haberdashers. The business soon expanded to the point where it was producing tapes for some of the most important names in the textiles industry.
About thirty years ago the leadership of the company passed into the hands of Vittorio’s daughter-in-law, Regina Bertipaglia, who continues to run the company with a mixture of creativity and intuition to this day. There are several factors that have been critical to the success of Victor. Thanks to extensive experience of working with synthetic fibers, the company is able manufacture various kinds of tape, even using special yarns, such as Lurex and Metal, that are capable of enhancing even the most elaborate garments.
The original artisan spirit lives on today in the attention to detail and the synergy between tradition and innovation: the tapes, manufactured using state of the art materials, evoke traditional weaving techniques.
This has enabled Victor to break into niche areas such as the vintage market.
The company is always punctual in its deliveries, thanks in no small part to the way its warehouse is organized. In addition to satin tapes, Victor also produces fabric, Selvage, fringe, tube, and pleated crinoline tapes.
