Lurex yarn was introduced on the market in the 1940s. The yarn is the intertwining of multiple synthetic fibres, plus a layer of vaporised aluminium that creates a metallic effect.

  • Produced with lurex yarn and metal yarn for very unusual, striking articles
  • Yarns are used on jacquard tapes for highlighted wording
  • Gold or silver lurex yarn resistant to garment-dyeing is also available
